Hi, I can throughly recommend John Chitty of Andover - excellent tort vet!

With regard to the vets for Birmingham in the third post above, I've visited all of the Bham ones and they are not tortoise specialists. Nearest vet to Bham is Hannah Bould at Friarswood Vets in Newcastle under lyme (also mentioned in that post)

hannah is like the best vet ever.

I would like to recommend Bruce Maclean - he has treated one of my really deformed tortoises Harry - performed surgery on his shell to prevent the poor little mite head getting wedged in his shell when tugging at his food!

I saw him at Reading, worthwhile trip and reasonable charges.

Oh my goodness, his head got wedged ?! Is this something that can happen often ? How is it rectified ?

No longer at Newcastle under Lyme, am locuming at Vets4Pets in Cannock ( lovely staff) and am planning to set up my own practice in the next couple of months to give you the client what you and your pet needs!
